Lessons from SOA governance

Last month Joe McKendrick wrote that SOA, IT and cloud governance are converging into 'total services governance'. SOA Governance should go hand-in-hand with cloud governance, and both should link into IT governance (systems monitoring, reporting). Here at Vordel, we've seen many lessons from SOA Governance carry over to our implementation of cloud governance. For example, like SOA Governance, cloud governance is a non-runner if it adds latency to services themselves. These are lessons we've built into the Vordel products, designed for speed as well as governance.
